Senior Product Master Data Engineer

We are seeking a "Senior Product Master Data Engineer" for our client, a top service provider renowned for trading and refurbishing used technology, such as cellphones and laptops. This company is dedicated to assisting manufacturers with sustainable practices and plays a significant role in reducing new tech expenses on a global scale.

In this role, you'll own the quality and governance of the client's product master data, including SKUs, pricing, descriptions, images and localisation, making sure it's accurate, reliable and ready to scale. You'll combine hands-on data work with process discipline, drive automation (including GenAI) to improve efficiency, and mentor other engineers in the team.

What you'll do

• Build and run automated systems that collect, manage and deliver product master data (SKU, pricing, descriptions, images, localisation) from multiple sources

• Own the cross-functional improvement of product master data quality

• Create and update product master data hands-on, including SKU codes, pricing, descriptions and localisation

• Define and oversee the processes and standards for managing product master data across the enterprise, in line with governance and quality requirements

• Drive automation for SKU generation, enrichment and validation, using AI as a productivity enabler

• Monitor, audit and resolve data quality issues, embedding continuous improvement

• Collaborate with product, supply chain, finance, engineering and sales teams

• Mentor and coach more junior engineers

• Build insights, dashboards and KPIs on data quality

• Maintain clear documentation and governance frameworks

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in product master data governance (policies, standards, frameworks)

• Proven track record designing and maintaining product master data (SKUs, pricing, attributes, descriptions, images, localisation)

• Experience with international standards (GS1, GTIN, UPC, EAN, EPC) and global localisation requirements

• Experience implementing data audits to find and fix inconsistencies, gaps and errors

• Strong attention to detail when working with large volumes of data

• Advanced Excel skills with complex spreadsheets, plus SQL

• An effective communicator who can work across teams in Scrum and Kanban, across geographies and time zones

• Practical use of Jira and Confluence

Nice to have

• Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite)

• Scripting, extracting data via APIs and writing SQL queries

• Experience using GenAI to automate master data processes

• Experience in a DevOps culture
