GenAI Program Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a Generative AI Program Manager for our client’s enterprise AI Center of Excellence within a major airline.
The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic Generative AI initiatives, from use-case discovery and RAG solution design to secure production deployment, adoption, and continuous optimization.
What You’ll Do
Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple AI, Generative AI, LLM, and RAG initiatives, from use-case discovery and proof of concept through production deployment and ongoing optimization.
Manage projects involving enterprise knowledge assistants, conversational AI, intelligent search, AI agents, intelligent document processing, and workflow automation.
Partner with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers, application teams, and solution architects to define technical scope, delivery milestones, dependencies, and success criteria.
Coordinate the design and implementation of RAG solutions involving enterprise data sources, document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, prompt orchestration, and LLM-generated responses.
Collaborate with business units to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and deliver high-value AI use cases.
Support the development of reusable AI delivery frameworks, governance processes, implementation standards, and enterprise-wide best practices.
Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, RAID logs, executive status reports, and delivery metrics.
Lead cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Coordinate AI solution testing and evaluation, including response quality, retrieval accuracy, relevance, groundedness, hallucination risk, latency, scalability, and business value.
Oversee production-readiness activities, including security reviews, data privacy assessments, architecture approvals, model evaluations, release planning, monitoring, and post-deployment support.
Identify and manage risks specific to AI solutions, including poor data quality, inaccurate model outputs, model drift, hallucinations, bias, privacy concerns, intellectual property exposure, and regulatory compliance.
Partner with cybersecurity, legal, compliance, data governance, and risk teams to ensure the responsible and secure use of enterprise AI.
Facilitate executive steering committees, AI governance reviews, technical working sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
Coordinate third-party AI vendors, cloud providers, consulting partners, and contract resources.
Drive change management, training, user readiness, and adoption of AI-enabled products and workflows.
Track project budgets, cloud consumption, licensing costs, vendor deliverables, and expected business outcomes.
Measure the effectiveness of AI solutions through technical and business KPIs, including adoption, accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, customer experience, and return on investment.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives.
Demonstrated experience delivering AI, Generative AI, machine learning, data, or advanced analytics programs.
Strong working knowledge of Generative AI, large language models, and RAG architectures.
Understanding of the end-to-end AI solution lifecycle, including use-case discovery, proof-of-concept development, testing, production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology programs involving both business and technical stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, project governance, risk management, budgeting, and resource planning.
Ability to communicate complex AI and technical concepts clearly to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Nice to Have
Experience supporting an AI Center of Excellence, innovation group, enterprise AI program, or similar centralized technology organization.
Experience working with enterprise cloud platforms, AI services, vector databases, and modern data architectures.
Familiarity with responsible AI, AI governance, model-risk management, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
Experience working with third-party AI vendors, consulting firms, and cloud service providers.
Previous experience in the airline, aviation, travel, or transportation industry is an advantage.
