Job Description

We are looking for a Generative AI Program Manager for our client’s enterprise AI Center of Excellence within a major airline.

The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic Generative AI initiatives, from use-case discovery and RAG solution design to secure production deployment, adoption, and continuous optimization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple AI, Generative AI, LLM, and RAG initiatives, from use-case discovery and proof of concept through production deployment and ongoing optimization.

  • Manage projects involving enterprise knowledge assistants, conversational AI, intelligent search, AI agents, intelligent document processing, and workflow automation.

  • Partner with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers, application teams, and solution architects to define technical scope, delivery milestones, dependencies, and success criteria.

  • Coordinate the design and implementation of RAG solutions involving enterprise data sources, document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, prompt orchestration, and LLM-generated responses.

  • Collaborate with business units to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and deliver high-value AI use cases.

  • Support the development of reusable AI delivery frameworks, governance processes, implementation standards, and enterprise-wide best practices.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, RAID logs, executive status reports, and delivery metrics.

  • Lead cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

  • Coordinate AI solution testing and evaluation, including response quality, retrieval accuracy, relevance, groundedness, hallucination risk, latency, scalability, and business value.

  • Oversee production-readiness activities, including security reviews, data privacy assessments, architecture approvals, model evaluations, release planning, monitoring, and post-deployment support.

  • Identify and manage risks specific to AI solutions, including poor data quality, inaccurate model outputs, model drift, hallucinations, bias, privacy concerns, intellectual property exposure, and regulatory compliance.

  • Partner with cybersecurity, legal, compliance, data governance, and risk teams to ensure the responsible and secure use of enterprise AI.

  • Facilitate executive steering committees, AI governance reviews, technical working sessions, and stakeholder presentations.

  • Coordinate third-party AI vendors, cloud providers, consulting partners, and contract resources.

  • Drive change management, training, user readiness, and adoption of AI-enabled products and workflows.

  • Track project budgets, cloud consumption, licensing costs, vendor deliverables, and expected business outcomes.

  • Measure the effectiveness of AI solutions through technical and business KPIs, including adoption, accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, customer experience, and return on investment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering AI, Generative AI, machine learning, data, or advanced analytics programs.

  • Strong working knowledge of Generative AI, large language models, and RAG architectures.

  • Understanding of the end-to-end AI solution lifecycle, including use-case discovery, proof-of-concept development, testing, production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology programs involving both business and technical stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, project governance, risk management, budgeting, and resource planning.

  • Ability to communicate complex AI and technical concepts clearly to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting an AI Center of Excellence, innovation group, enterprise AI program, or similar centralized technology organization.

  • Experience working with enterprise cloud platforms, AI services, vector databases, and modern data architectures.

  • Familiarity with responsible AI, AI governance, model-risk management, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience working with third-party AI vendors, consulting firms, and cloud service providers.

  • Previous experience in the airline, aviation, travel, or transportation industry is an advantage.
