Ecommerce Platform Engineer (Shopify)
Job Description
We are seeking an "Ecommerce Platform Engineer" for our client, a top service provider renowned for trading and refurbishing used technology, such as cellphones and laptops. This company is dedicated to assisting manufacturers with sustainable practices and plays a significant role in reducing new tech expenses on a global scale.
In this role, you'll build and maintain the features that power the client's e-commerce platform on Shopify. You'll write high-quality, scalable code, test and debug it thoroughly, and work as part of a cross-functional Agile team alongside product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver a smooth experience for customers.
What you'll do
Develop and maintain Shopify apps and features that improve the e-commerce experience
Write high-quality, scalable and maintainable code using best practices
Test and debug thoroughly, with both automated and manual testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions
Integrate third-party APIs
Take part in code reviews and share feedback with the team
Work with stakeholders to provide Shopify technical guidance
Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by customers
Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing
What we're looking for
Expert knowledge of Liquid and Shopify Themes (5+ years)
Demonstrable experience with full-stack applications in production
Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with strong JavaScript for e-commerce
Experience integrating third-party APIs
Experience with Shopify tools such as Product Filter & Search, Matrixify, Globo Mega Menu, Launchpad and Shopify Flow
Comfortable working with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary team
Attentive to UI design documentation such as mockups and click-throughs
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban and version control (GIT)
Nice to have
Experience with Shopify's storefront APIs
Location Remote, within APAC.
