With this transformation, individuals started to be evaluated based on their skills and hired by employers. Spanning from 3000 BC to 500 AD, the ancient periods hosted a variety of different civilizations and cultures, each developing various methods and systems for recruitment processes. In the Ancient Period, recruitment processes were generally controlled and regulated by the state. However, as large projects and monumental structures began to be built, specialization and division of labor among workers started to emerge.
